The Conchs showed great discipline at the plate as they worked seven walks in five innings. Key West started off with a big swing from Preston Herce when he hit the ball of the light pole out in left field. Landon Lowe would hit a double a couple of batters later and come around to score on an RBI groundout from Michael Alfonso. They would finish the inning at two runs, and go on to score two more in the bottom of the third for a 4-0 lead.


In the bottom of the fourth, the wheels would unravel for Gainesville when Key West would score six runs on only six walks, two HBPs, and only one hit in the inning. Tom Besson would throw 4.1 innings for the Conchs and Jakai Blake would get the final two outs in the fifth for the 10-0 run rule.


Key West will have the day off on Tuesday before they play Spruce Creek on Wednesday afternoon at 4:30pm in Sanford. Gainesville will have the night game in Sanford on Tuesday against Spruce Creek at 7:00pm to wrap up their play in Pool A.

After a scoreless first for both teams, the Raiders came around to score when Julian Balzer hit a triple and came around to score on an error. They would score another run in the third on an RBI single by Kai Aravena to take a 2-0 lead. Rockledge would continue their scoring streak when they put up three runs the following inning off an RBI single from Logan Amick and a two run double from Aaron Saltsman to go up 5-0. Both Balzer (double) and Amick (single) would drive in more runs in the fifth to make it 7-0. All in all, the Raiders would smack 15 hits throughout the game while SouthLake Christian only got two.


On the mound, Cade Davidson retired 13 of the 14 batters he faced for the Raiders, only allowing a lead off walk in the fifth. In 4.1 innings of work, he allowed no runs, no hits, and struck out five.


Rockledge will take Tuesday off before they play their final game in Pool B against University at 7:00pm on Wednesday night in Sanford. SouthLake Christian will wrap up Pool Play on Tuesday at 4:30pm in Sanford against University.
