MARION CLAYTON - FLAGLER PALM COAST - TOURNAMENT MOST VALUABLE PLAYER

Marion Clayton (Sr.) was dominant at the top of the Flagler Palm Coast lineup leading his team to its first FHSI Championship after eleven previous attempts. The Jacksonville commit hit safely in all four games, including two lead-off homeruns. On the week he went 7-14 (.500) at the plate with 3 RBI's, a triple, two HR's and had an OPS of 1.660. In addition to his prowess at the plate, he took away several would-be extra base hits with his gold glove caliber defense in center field.

JORDAN GONZALEZ - FLAGLER PALM COAST - TOURNAMENT MOST VALUABLE PITCHER

Jordan Gonzalez (Sr.) had one of the toughest matchups of the week when he had to face a 12-0 St Cloud team in a pool play game that would decide whether or not Flagler Palm Coast would have the opportunity to play for the Championship. He answered that call by tossing a complete game shutout to propel his team into the semi-finals. Gonzalez gave up just 2 hits and 1 walk over 7 innings while striking out 6 to earn pitcher of the week.
