Most Valuable Player
Garrett Vathroder, Leesburg
Vathroder helped Leesburg to a 3-1 record in the tournament, both on offense and on the mound. His solo homerun on Day 1 was the difference in the Yellow Jackets win over TFA. He added a run, triple and RBI against South Ft. Myers, was 2-3 with a run, RBI and steal against Grandview and had the game tying sac fly in the 8th inning of the Championship game against Eustis. He also started the game against Grandview on the mound, finishing with a seven inning complete game, allowing just one run on five hits with seven strikeouts.
Cy Young
Brady Singer, Eustis
Singer, the top rated prospect in the tournament, showed why scouts are drooling over him in two appearances. He started the first game of the week for Eustis against Forest Highon Monday. In the complete game victory, he allowed just one earned run and struck out eleven batters with just one walk allowed. He then made a second appearance, coming into the championship game with a one run lead and a runner on third base. He made quick work of his batter, pumping two 91 MPH fastballs to earn the save.
